Dr. Shalini Perera is a Lecturer at the School of Law, Queen Mary University of London. She joined in 2008 after roles as a Judicial Assistant to Lord Justice Sedley (Court of Appeal) and a stipendiary lecturer at Merton College, Oxford. Her research focuses on corporate law, corporate finance, international investment law, and the governance implications of company ownership and financing in developing economies. She teaches Company Law and Corporate Insolvency at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Research Interests: Her work examines how financing and ownership structures influence corporate governance, particularly in developing economies. She is preparing a forthcoming book titled *Ownership and Control in Corporate Governance and Economic Development*, which explores these themes in depth.
