Dr. Shailesh Kumar is a Lecturer in Law at Royal Holloway, University of London, specializing in socio-legal studies and criminal justice reform. An interdisciplinary scholar with PhD from Birkbeck, his research examines child protection laws, courtroom ethnography, and decolonization of legal systems.
His empirical work on India's POCSO Act investigates judicial training and access to justice for child sexual abuse survivors. Additional research addresses juvenile justice, caste discrimination in legal systems, and abolitionist criminology.
