Shahzad Ali

Shahzad Ali, MD is an Assistant Professor at the UNC School of Medicine's Department of Psychiatry. He is board-certified in General and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, with expertise in mood, anxiety, intellectual, and developmental disorders across all age groups.

Dr. Ali supervises residents and fellows in inpatient settings for Child, Adolescent, and Eating Disorders units, as well as outpatient clinics. His clinical work includes performing TMS evaluations and treatments for adults with treatment-resistant depression, and he contributes to research focused on managing treatment-resistant depression.
