About
Shahed Rasekh is a Junior Researcher at the University of Aveiro's Materials and Ceramic Engineering Department. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Zaragoza (2016) with a focus on thermoelectric materials. His research emphasizes optimizing thermoelectric ceramics, particularly in Bi-AE-Co-O systems and Ca3Co4O9-based oxides. Rasekh has led multiple industrial and academic projects, including collaborations with GTC S.L. and ITA. He is a member of prominent societies like the Portuguese Ceramic and Glass Society (SPCV). His work has been recognized with prestigious photography awards and an exceptional Ph.D. award. Rasekh has supervised 7 undergraduate projects and contributed to over 75 publications. His current focus includes high-temperature thermoelectrics, advanced synthesis methods (e.g., laser floating zone), and material stability under extreme conditions.
