Dr. Shafeer Kalathil is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Applied Sciences at Northumbria University, where he also serves as a Vice Chancellor’s Senior Fellow. He is a Fellow at the Hub for Biotechnology in the Built Environment (HBBE), a joint initiative between Newcastle and Northumbria Universities. His research focuses on microbial electrochemistry, bioinspired synthesis, and artificial photosynthesis for sustainable energy solutions.
