Dr. Shachak Pe'eri serves as an Affiliate Assistant Research Professor at the University of New Hampshire and as Chief of NOAA's Coast Survey Development Lab. With over 14 years of experience at UNH (as a research associate professor until 2016 and currently in his affiliate role) and expertise in coastal mapping technologies, he focuses on advancing airborne lidar bathymetry, satellite/aerial remote sensing, and autonomous vessel systems.

- Ph.D. in Geophysics, Tel Aviv University, Israel
His research spans optical remote sensing in littoral zones, including lidar remote sensing (airborne lidar bathymetry, topographic lidar, terrestrial laser scanning), hyperspectral remote sensing, sensor fusion, and marine cartography. He also contributes to professional development through the internationally accredited CAT-B cartographic certification program.
