About
Shabah Shadli is a Lecturer specializing in clinical neuroscience at the University of New England. Her research identifies EEG biomarkers for anxiety/depression and investigates ketamine's rapid antidepressant effects.
Shadli's pioneering work established the first validated biomarker for anxiety disorders, later optimized for clinical EEG applications. Current HRC-funded projects examine hippocampal-amygdala contributions to anxiety and ketamine's neuromodulatory mechanisms.
Awarded the 2024 Peter Beumont Prize, she collaborates internationally on neuroimaging studies combining fMRI, EEG, and biochemical analysis. Shadli's teaching covers neuroanatomy and experimental psychopathology.
