Seán Millar is a Senior Postdoctoral Researcher and Research Support Officer in the School of Public Health at University College Cork (UCC). He holds a PhD in Epidemiology and Biostatistics (UCC) and an MPH in Advanced Epidemiology. His work focuses on substance use epidemiology, cardiometabolic risk factors, and the health impacts of dietary patterns. He collaborates with the Health Research Board (HRB) and European Union Drugs Agency (EUDA), contributing to drug prevalence reporting and opioid use estimation. Key areas include drug-related harms, childhood obesity costs, and adverse childhood experiences' lifelong health impacts. He leads the Mitchelstown Cohort Study data management and co-leads the Irish National Focal Point for EMCDDA reporting.
