Seth W. Garfield is a Professor and Chair for Western Hemispheric Trade Studies at the University of Texas at Austin's College of Liberal Arts. He holds a Ph.D. from Yale University and has taught courses like Modern Brazil, Postcolonial Brazil, and Thinking Like a Historian.
