Seth Toomay

Seth Toomay, M.D., is a Professor of Radiology at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of its Vascular and Interventional Radiology Division. He holds dual roles as Associate Vice President and Chief Medical Officer for Ambulatory Care at the institution. Clinically, he provides vascular and interventional radiology services at Parkland Memorial Hospital, Clements University Hospital, and Zale Lipshy University Hospital.

Dr. Toomay received a Bachelor’s in Biochemistry from Brown University and his Medical Degree from UT Southwestern, followed by residency in radiology and fellowship in interventional radiology at the same institution. His research focuses on vascular and interventional radiology, with multiple peer-reviewed publications in the field.

He actively participates in numerous governance roles, including membership in the Health System Information Resources Committee, Radiology Structured Reporting Governance Committee, and Health System Interventional Radiology Committee. Professional affiliations include the Society of Interventional Radiology, Western Angiographic and Interventional Society, and Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society.

Dr. Toomay also serves as a Special Reviewer for Radiologyinfo.org, a patient-focused resource describing radiology procedures. His work spans clinical practice, administrative leadership, and healthcare technology integration.
