Seth Klein is an Adjunct Professor specializing in fiscal policy, taxation, and social justice. He previously served 22 years as founding BC director of the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives (CCPA), focusing on economic and environmental justice. He is currently a freelance researcher, writer, and consultant working on aligning Canadian politics with climate emergency responses.
He co-founded and co-chaired the BC Poverty Reduction Coalition (8 years), advised the Metro Vancouver Living Wage campaign (10 years), and sits on the Columbia Institute’s Centre for Civic Governance advisory board. He is also a founder and instructor for Next Up, training young leaders in social/environmental justice.
His research emphasizes poverty reduction strategies, climate justice, and equitable taxation systems. Current projects include a book on climate policy alignment and frequent contributions to CCPA-BC’s blog.
