Seth King is an Associate Professor of Physics at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. He holds a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (2009) and a B.S. in Physics from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire (2003). His research focuses on materials science and characterization, particularly developing novel oxides for photovoltaic, optoelectronic, and photocatalytic applications.
Dr. King has organized and chaired the 83rd Physical Electronics Conference (2023) on surface and interface sciences at UW-La Crosse. He has been recognized with a state innovation honor and received a UWL Challenge Coin from students for his academic contributions. His recent work includes co-authoring research on zinc film morphology in ChemistrySelect (2023), involving student collaborators Lee Fuller, Jason Martin, and Yuanman Ma.
