Seth Cavello

Dr. Seth Cavello is Assistant Professor and Undergraduate Director for Geography at the University of South Florida. His research investigates urban transformation through immigrant settlement dynamics, neighborhood identity formation, and gentrification impacts.

Current projects examine refugee housing strategies in Burmese communities, analyzing how social networks influence residential choices amid urban change. Methodologically, Cavello employs mixed-methods approaches combining GIS, ethnography, and spatial analysis.

He teaches human geography courses focused on urbanization processes and community development. Cavello's work emphasizes policy implications for equitable urban planning and refugee resettlement programs.
