Dr. Serwaa Omowale is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Management, Policy and Community Health at the UTHealth Houston School of Public Health and affiliated faculty in the Center for Health Equity. Her research focuses on maternal health disparities, particularly examining factors contributing to maternal mortality and morbidity, the role of stress and work as social determinants of health, and the long-term cardiovascular and cognitive risks associated with poor pregnancy outcomes.
