About
Sergio Pezzini is a post-doctoral researcher at the High Field Magnet Lab (HFML) at Radboud University in Nijmegen, Netherlands. His work focuses on electrical and thermal transport measurements in extreme conditions, including low temperatures and high continuous magnetic fields (up to 37 T), applied to low-dimensional semiconductors, nanostructures, and topological insulators. He also provides technical support to guest researchers conducting experiments in high magnetic fields.
His research spans several key areas:
- Quantum materials
- Graphene and 2D materials
- Quantum Hall effect
- Weak localization and antilocalization
- High magnetic field transport phenomena
- Disorder and decoherence in nanosystems
Prominent trends in his publications include:
- Investigations into quantum transport mechanisms in graphene multilayers
- Studies of phase transitions under magnetic fields
- Analysis of decoherence effects in low-dimensional systems
- Exploration of heterostructures involving hexagonal boron nitride
- Development of experimental techniques for high-field environments
- Applications of quantum interference phenomena
