Sergio Coto-Rivel is a University Professor of Latin American Literature and Civilization at the University of Nantes and a 2024–2025 Fellow at the Nantes Institute for Advanced Study. He is affiliated with the Department of Hispanic Studies within the Faculty of Foreign Languages and Cultures, serving as Deputy Director of the ALL Pays de la Loire Doctoral School. His research focuses on contemporary Latin American literature, gender studies, ecocriticism, and the intersection of violence and subjectivity in Central American contexts.
