Serge Fehr is a Senior Researcher in the Cryptology Group at CWI (Centrum Wiskunde & Informatica) in Amsterdam and a part-time Professor at the Mathematical Institute of Leiden University. His research focuses on foundational aspects of cryptology, including post-quantum cryptography, information-theoretic security, zero-knowledge proofs, and secure multiparty computation. He participates in AMSec (Amsterdam Cyber Security Center) and leads work packages in the NWO-funded HAPKIDO consortium.

- Quantum-resistant protocols (e.g., non-resignable signatures, Fiat-Shamir transforms)
- Foundational security proofs in the quantum random oracle model (QROM)
- Secure multiparty computation and privacy-preserving healthcare systems
