Seraphim Seferiades

Professor Seraphim Seferiades teaches Political Science at Panteion University's Department of Political Science and History, where he directs the Laboratory on Contentious Politics. A Life Member at the University of Cambridge (CLH), he holds a PhD from Columbia University (1998) and has held fellowships at Oxford, Cambridge, Princeton, and the European University Institute.

His research examines democratic theory, social movements, and political methodology. Recent publications analyze populism as 'deceptive invocations of the popular' and explore the relationship between radical politics and democratic functionality during systemic crises. His work emphasizes the historical role of collective action in democratic development.
