Selma Saidi

Prof. Dr. Selma Saidi serves as a full Professor and head of the Institute of Computer and Network Engineering (IDA) at the Technical University of Braunschweig, a leading TU9 institution renowned for engineering excellence. She leads both academic and research operations within IDA while maintaining active industry collaborations.

Educational Background:

• PhD in Computer Engineering from University of Joseph Fourier, Grenoble, France (conducted between VERIMAG research institute and STMicroelectronics R&D department)

Research Focus: Her work pioneers intelligent computing systems requiring guaranteed connectivity, real-time performance, and safety. Current efforts target collective decision-making paradigms for autonomous systems in complex environments, addressing data timeliness over infrastructure, trustworthiness enhancement, and collaborative aggregation mechanisms. She bridges theoretical formal methods with practical hardware-software implementations.

Academic Leadership: Teaches Hardware Software Codesign, Introduction to Electronic Systems, and Studienseminar Computer Engineering. Directs the Saidi Research Group which integrates cross-disciplinary concepts from philosophy and sociology to solve societal challenges through technology transfer.
