Sebastian Rasinger is an Associate Professor and Head of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at Anglia Ruskin University. His academic work focuses on the sociolinguistic and discourse analytic aspects of multilingualism, migration, and ethnic and cultural identities.
- Co-edited The Cambridge Handbook of Intercultural Communication (2020) and The Cambridge Introduction to Intercultural Communication (2022)
- Authored a second edition of Quantitative Research in Linguistics (2013) and its Spanish translation (2019)
- Worked on linguistic landscapes in London and Austria
His research supervision areas include bilingual identities, language and migration, and media representation of minorities. He led revisions to the QAA Linguistics Subject Benchmark Statement (2022) and serves as a governor at Long Road Sixth Form College in Cambridge.
