Sebastian Omlor

Prof. Dr. Sebastian Omlor is Professor of Civil Law at Marburg Law School, Philipps-Universität Marburg. His research focuses on German and European civil law, commercial law, banking law, and the impacts of globalization and digitalization on legal frameworks. He leads the €1 million BMJV research project 'Blockchain and Law' (2020-2023) and contributes to European private law initiatives including the Franco-German European Business Code project.

His research examines legal aspects of money, payment systems, and blockchain applications in civil law. Key areas include mandate law, agency agreements, and UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG), with comparative studies focusing on the US and China.
