Sebastian Andersen

Sebastian Andersen is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Civil and Mechanical Engineering, specializing in Structures and Safety at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU). His research focuses on computational modeling, real-time simulations, material science, and structural engineering. He has led and collaborated on projects such as Next Generation of 3D-printed Concrete Structures and AwaPave, emphasizing innovation in construction materials and pavement analysis. He has supervised numerous PhD students, including Zafar Hussan and Andrés Caballero Arcos, and contributed to datasets like ALVA for layered viscoelastic analysis. Andersen received the Sund & Bælt Hackathon 2019 award and has published extensively on topics ranging from hybrid simulations to asphalt pavement mechanics.
