Sean Thrower

Sean Thrower is a Lecturer in the Music Department at Berry College, specializing in guitar performance and education. He holds a B.A. and M.A. in Music Performance from the University of Georgia, where he studied under notable classical guitarists John Sutherland and Dr. Philip Snyder. His career spans global performances across diverse genres and styles.

Research & Creative Interests: Sean focuses on interdisciplinary music education, blending classical, contemporary, and experimental techniques. He authored three music instruction books and co-founded Guitar Ramble (2017), an LLC dedicated to connecting guitarists across genres through lessons, reviews, and creative content.

Teaching & Mentorship: He has instructed students at Berry College, Kennesaw State University, and his Thrower Guitar Studio since 2015, offering courses in electric, acoustic, classical guitar, bass, ukulele, and mandolin. His Rome Guitar Institute (now Thrower Guitar Studio) emphasizes holistic musical development.
