Dr. Sean M. Lew is the Mardak/Vandenberg Family Chair of Pediatric Neurosurgery at Children’s Wisconsin and Professor in the Department of Neurosurgery at the Medical College of Wisconsin. He serves as Director of Epilepsy Surgery at Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin. His clinical practice focuses on pediatric neurosurgery with specialized expertise in epilepsy surgery, brain tumors, moyamoya disease, and craniocervical anomalies. Dr. Lew holds dual board certifications in Neurological Surgery and Pediatric Neurosurgery.
Education includes an MD from Oregon Health Sciences University School of Medicine (1995), residency in Neurological Surgery at the University of Vermont (1996-2002), and fellowship in Pediatric Neurosurgery at Beth Israel Medical Center (2003-2004).
Research interests emphasize pediatric epilepsy surgery outcomes, cervical spine interventions, and surgical technique optimization. Over 40 peer-reviewed publications highlight his contributions to neurosurgical innovation.
