Sean Li

Sean Li is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Connecticut. He holds a Ph.D. from the Courant Institute at NYU under Professor Assaf Naor, with prior experience as a L.E. Dickson Instructor at the University of Chicago. His research focuses on metric geometry, functional analysis, geometric measure theory, and harmonic analysis, with particular emphasis on Carnot groups and Heisenberg group structures.

Research Interests: Dr. Li investigates geometric and analytic properties of metric measure spaces, including rectifiability, singular integrals, and geometric analysis in sub-Riemannian settings. His work often addresses problems in Carnot groups, such as traveling salesman theorems, Riesz transforms on intrinsic Lipschitz graphs, and geometric lemma formulations for Heisenberg groups.

Collaborations & Grants: Collaborates extensively with researchers like Vasilis Chousionis, Robert Young, and Enrico Le Donne. His research has been supported through grants and institutional funding at UConn and prior institutions.
