Scott Wood is an Associate Professor of Biomedical Sciences at the University of Maine and Director of the Portland Laboratory for Biotechnology and Health Sciences. His research focuses on tissue engineering strategies to study cellular responses to physical stimuli, including chondrocyte cytoskeleton homeostasis and integrin signaling pathways. He leads the development of the Microphysiological Articular Joint In a Chip (MAJIC) system for drug screening in articular joints.
