Scott Welch is a Pro Tem Instructor in the Sports Product Management program at the University of Oregon's Lundquist College of Business. He is also the founding executive director of the Loopt Foundation, focused on eliminating pre-consumer textile waste. Previously, he led Columbia Sportswear Company's Global Corporate Relations Program, directing over $50M in cash and product donations to environmental and social causes.
Education: BS in Political Science from Portland State University; Certifications in Business Strategy (McKinsey Academy) and International Grantmaking (Tufts University).
Research & Expertise: Specializes in sustainable business practices, corporate social responsibility, and the intersection of sportswear production with environmental stewardship. His work includes high-impact campaigns with organizations like the National Park Foundation and Ocean Foundation, featured in major media outlets.
Advisory Roles: Member of the National Breast Cancer Foundation's advisory board and a founding member of the Lundquist College's Sports Product Management external advisory board. Former adjunct instructor at Portland State University School of Business.
