Scott Reeve is a Lecturer and Academic Mentor in the School of Medicine at Keele University, specializing in the Counselling & Psychotherapy MSc programme. He is a BACP-registered and accredited Person-Centred Counsellor/Psychotherapist with over a decade of experience in clinical and academic roles. His private practice focuses on CYP (Children & Young People) and online/telephone counselling (OPT).
Education: Initial training at the University of Brighton (2013), followed by an MSc in Psychotherapy from the University of Salford (2020), where he also qualified as a Supervisor. His research explores bereavement experiences, particularly among fathers, and men's engagement with therapeutic spaces.
Professional Experience: Previously worked in addiction charities, school-based counseling, and youth centers. Conducted 9+ years of grief support at a Children’s Hospice. Published work includes a seminal article on bereaved fathers' unmet needs.
Key Focus Areas: Grief and bereavement, child/youth mental health, and gender dynamics in therapy.
