Scott R. Cohen

Scott R. Cohen serves as Assistant Professor of Accounting and Finance at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke (UNCP), where he joined in 2021 after teaching positions at NC State University and SKEMA Business School (a French graduate business institution). With over 30 years of professional experience spanning accounting, finance, and entrepreneurship across retail and financial sectors, he integrates extensive industry expertise into his academic work.

His research focuses on optimizing accounting pedagogy to enhance student learning outcomes and attitudes, bridging theoretical knowledge with practical application. This work addresses critical gaps in accounting education through evidence-based instructional strategies and curriculum development.
