Scott Moss

Scott Moss serves as a Lecturer in the Journalism & Public Relations department within the College of Liberal Arts at California State University, Long Beach (CSULB). With over 25 years of experience spanning K-12 and university settings, he also directs National University's Master of Science in Learning Experience Design and Educational Technology Program.

His research focuses on the critical intersection of artificial intelligence and media literacy, pioneering the concept of critical algorithmic literacy to empower journalists, educators, and students in analyzing AI-driven media. This framework extends traditional literacy to foster public discernment in algorithmically saturated environments.
