Dr. Scott Monsma is a Professor of Sociology at Northwestern College. He specializes in social justice, sociology of religion, and criminology. He has led study abroad programs to Taiwan and Oman and served as President of the Association of Christians Teaching Sociology. Monsma received the Northwestern College Teaching Excellence Award in 2014 and 2025, and was a finalist for the same award in 2004, 2008, and 2009.
