About
Scott Grayson is Professor of Chemistry at Tulane University, holding the Joseph H. Boyer Professorship. His research tailors nanoscale architecture of synthetic macromolecules for medical and materials applications.
Research Areas:
- Macromolecular architecture control via organic synthesis and self-assembly
- Transdermal drug delivery using amphiphilic nanoparticles
- Gene transfection vectors based on poly(ethylene imine) libraries
- Tumor-targeted cancer therapies exploiting enhanced permeability
- Hydrocarbon remediation through covalently-linked micellar structures
Grayson's work combines synthetic chemistry with characterization techniques including MALDI-TOF MS, GPC, and TEM. His group develops novel methodologies for cyclic polymer synthesis and investigates architectural effects on biological interactions.
Facilities: Accesses Tulane's NMR, MS, TEM, and polymer characterization resources through PolyRMC and TIMES collaborative centers.
