Dr. Scott L. Friedman is Dean for Collaborative Research and Director of the Institute for Liver Research at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where he holds dual professorships in Medicine and Pharmacological Sciences. He previously served as faculty at UCSF and completed training at Harvard Medical School and UCSF. His pioneering research on hepatic stellate cells revolutionized understanding of liver fibrosis.
