Scott Klungseth is an Associate Professor and Undergraduate Coordinator for the Exercise Science program in the College of Education & Human Performance at Dakota State University. He holds an Ed.D. in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Physical Education from the University of South Dakota (2008), an M.A. in Teaching and Learning with an emphasis in Health and Physical Education from Northern State University (1998), and a B.A. in Health, Physical Education, and Recreation from Augustana College (1995).

He is actively involved in professional organizations such as SHAPE-America and the National Afterschool Association. He has led training in Dartfish, OptoGait, FitWall, and IHT Spirit systems, and has developed community-wide health and wellness initiatives. His work bridges academia, K–12 education, and public health, making a significant impact on both policy and practice.
