Scott Gaier serves as Director of the Academic Enrichment Center and Professor of Higher Education at Taylor University. He holds a PhD in Educational Studies from Purdue University, along with multiple advanced degrees including an MS from Purdue and a BA in Psychology from Huntington College. His specialties include teaching effectiveness, student success strategies, and learning process optimization.
Dr. Gaier has over 20 years of teaching experience, with notable accomplishments including the 2023 Distinguished Professor Award from Taylor University and the 2011 Dr. Joe Burnworth Teaching Award. His research focuses on student retention, academic attribution theory, and alumni engagement, as evidenced by his publications in journals like Transformative Dialogues and Research & Teaching in Developmental Education.
He leads initiatives at the Academic Enrichment Center to enhance student learning outcomes through innovative instructional strategies. His work emphasizes practical applications of educational theory to improve classroom effectiveness and long-term academic success.
