Scott Conger is a Professor in the Department of Kinesiology at Boise State University. He holds a PhD in Kinesiology with a concentration in Exercise Physiology from the University of Tennessee, and is an ACSM Certified Clinical Exercise Specialist and Health Fitness Specialist.
His research program focuses on:
- Developing objective physical activity assessment methods
- Validation of wearable activity monitors
- Measurement of energy expenditure during resistance training
- Physical activity monitoring in special populations
- Applications of accelerometry in health research
He has conducted research with diverse populations including military personnel, athletes, elderly adults, and individuals with chronic diseases or spinal cord injuries.
