About
Scott Budge is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Utah State University. His research develops methods for 3D scene reconstruction using fused LiDAR and imagery technologies.
Research focuses on texel imaging techniques that combine lidar and digital photography for applications in remote sensing, obstacle detection, and 3D visualization. Recent work includes dynamic visualization systems and automatic registration techniques for multi-sensor data.
Budge teaches courses in signals/systems and digital image processing, earning teaching recognition including the 2012 Outstanding Teacher of the Year award. He mentors graduate students working on sensor fusion and scene reconstruction projects.
