Scott Bounds

Scott Bounds is an Associate Research Scientist Engineer at the Department of Physics and Astronomy, University of Iowa. With over two decades of experience, his work spans laboratory plasma studies and development of electrostatic analyzers for sounding rockets. He has contributed to more than 20 sounding rocket missions, served as Principal Investigator for four, and managed instruments like EMFISIS on the Van Allen Probes and the upcoming TRACERS mission. His expertise includes mechanical/electrical design and space flight mission operations.
