Scott Bohle is a Professor in the Department of Chemistry at McGill University and holds the Canadian Research Chair in Bioinorganic Chemistry. His research focuses on the chemical biology of malaria and nitric oxide, employing interdisciplinary approaches including structural, synthetic, and theoretical methods. He collaborates with diverse scientific groups to address problems at the interface of chemistry and biology.

Research Interests: Two core areas drive his work: (1) Understanding the biochemical mechanisms of malaria parasites, including heme detoxification and drug resistance, and (2) Investigating nitric oxide's roles in cellular signaling and its interactions with metal complexes and reactive oxygen species. Recent efforts include determining the crystal structure of malaria pigment and developing NO probes to study biological gradients.

Teaching & Lab: Currently teaches CHEM 381 (Inorganic Chemistry 2) and CHEM 533 (Small Molecule Crystallography). His lab is located in Otto Maass 230, focusing on interdisciplinary chemical biology projects.
