Scott Armen

Scott Armen is a Professor in the Department of Surgery and Department of Neurosurgery, currently serving as the Charlene J. Smith Professor and Vice Chair for Patient Safety and Quality. He is also the Chief of the Division of Trauma, Acute Care and Critical Care Surgery, with a focus on advancing trauma care and patient safety.

• Research Interests: Trauma surgery, critical care, geriatrics, hemostatic applications, and military medicine.
• Grants: Leads funded projects such as Bioabsorbable Polysaccharide-Polyelectrolyte Foam for Hemostatic Applications in Prolonged Field Care supported by the U.S. Army and Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs.
