Scott Aquanno is Associate Professor of Political Science at Ontario Tech University with research expertise in monetary policy development and financial globalization. He holds a PhD in Political Science from York University and completed postdoctoral fellowships in monetary policy and innovation policy at University of Toronto. Previously, he taught at University of Toronto and York University, and served as invited researcher at Institute for New Economic Thinking.
His research examines central banking evolution during the neoliberal period, focusing on Federal Reserve policy innovation and distributive impacts of low inflation. Current projects analyze the institutional adaptability of central banks during financial crises and the relationship between financial power structures and state governance.
Recent publications explore transformations in finance capital and corporate governance frameworks within contemporary economic systems.
