Schahram Dustdar is Full Professor of Computer Science (Informatics) at Vienna University of Technology (TU Wien) and Head of the Distributed Systems Group. He held previous academic roles as Honorary Professor of Information Systems at the University of Groningen (2004-2010) and Associate Professor at TU Wien (2003-2005).
- Education: M.Sc. (1990) and PhD (1992) in Business Informatics from the University of Linz, Austria; Habilitation (2003) in Computer Science at TU Wien.
His research focuses on Distributed systems, Service-oriented computing, Cloud computing, and Internet technologies, with significant contributions to software engineering for collaborative processes and scalable computing environments. He has secured over €15M in competitive research funding, including a joint cloud computing lab with Pacific Controls.
