Saurabh Dhiman

Saurabh Dhiman is Assistant Professor in Chemistry Biology and Health Sciences and Civil and Environmental Engineering at South Dakota School of Mines and Technology. His research deploys genome-to-phenome and network-biology approaches for biomanufacturing industrially relevant biomolecules from unconventional carbon sources.

Investigations focus on molecular mechanisms governing microbial stress responses, adhesion properties, and environmental interactions using genome editing and computational modeling. He teaches courses including Microbiology, Environmental Microbiology, Biofilm Engineering, and Bioresource Engineering emphasizing problem-based learning and conceptual mapping.
