Dr. Satish Kedia is a Professor and SBS PhD Program Coordinator in the Division of Social and Behavioral Sciences at the University of Memphis School of Public Health. He holds a PhD in Medical Anthropology from the University of Kentucky, an MPH from the University of Manchester (UK), and a Certificate in Medical Behavioral Science. His research focuses on addiction, substance use treatment, cancer care, caregiving, and rural health disparities, with an emphasis on qualitative and mixed methods. Dr. Kedia has managed over $17 million in research grants as PI/Co-PI from SAMHSA, NIH, and others. He has published over 100 peer-reviewed articles and is a recipient of the University Research Professorship, Dunavant Professorship, and 'Advisor Extraordinaire' for mentoring over 30 doctoral students.
