Saskia Mars

Saskia Mars is a Lecturer-Researcher in the Facility Management research group at Hanze University of Applied Sciences. As a spatial designer, she specializes in work environments, participatory design processes, and sustainable housing concepts. She co-founded a collective supporting organizations with sustainable housing solutions.

Mars co-leads the Innovation Lab Healthy Workplace (HWP), researching spatial interventions that enhance physical, social, and mental employee wellbeing. Her work bridges organizational values with employee needs through co-creation methodologies.

Recent publications address healing environments, hybrid workspace customization, workplace digitalization, and patient-centered clinic redesign. She actively presents at industry events on healthy workplace innovation and participatory design approaches.
