Sasikumar Sundaram

Dr Sasikumar Sundaram is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of International Politics, City St George's, University of London. He directs the Cluster for Global Disorder Studies and serves as Vice Chair of the Global South Caucus of the International Studies Association (ISA) from 2024–2026, and as Thematic Lead on Resolving Uncertainty and Addressing Crises at the South-East Network for Social Sciences (SENSS) since 2024.

His research focuses on International Relations Theory, Rhetorical Power Politics, non-Western political thought, and the Status and Reputation concerns of Global South states. He also examines the foreign and security policies of India, Brazil, and China, with publications in journals like International Theory and Journal of Global Security Studies.

• Erasmus-Mundus scholarship

He has taught in Brazil, contributed to higher education internationalization in Myanmar, and held postdoctoral positions at University of São Paulo and American University. He is proficient in Portuguese and Tamil and specializes in Latin America and South Central Asia.

The Cluster for Global Disorder Studies, which he directs, explores interdisciplinary challenges in global security and political theory.
