Sashi Debnath

Sashi Debnath is a Researcher at UT Southwestern Medical Center, affiliated with the Radiology Research Division. He holds a Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (Kolkata, India) and completed postdoctoral research at Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (Belgium). His expertise includes Radiochemistry, PET/CT imaging, translational research, and cyclotron-based drug synthesis. Dr. Debnath’s work focuses on developing theranostic radiopharmaceuticals for cancer imaging and therapy, with over 17 peer-reviewed publications and active participation in professional societies like the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging. He also serves on the editorial board of Cancers and reviews for journals such as International Journal of Molecular Sciences.

His research interests span Molecular Imaging, Theranostics, and Drug Delivery, with a particular emphasis on neuroendocrine cancers and hypoxia-related biomarkers. Collaborative efforts include projects targeting fibroblast activation protein (FAP) and synaptic vesicle glycoprotein 2A (SV2A) in oncology. Dr. Debnath’s contributions bridge laboratory innovations with clinical applications, aiming to enhance diagnostic precision and therapeutic efficacy in cancer treatment.
