About
Sasha Reschechtko is an Assistant Professor in the School of Exercise and Nutritional Sciences at San Diego State University. His laboratory investigates sensorimotor integration with focus on how cutaneous and proprioceptive feedback contribute to real-time movement control.
Research combines psychophysical experiments with biomechanical analysis to understand rapid motor corrections during reaching tasks. Current projects examine how sensory information from skin and muscles is integrated for limb stabilization during unexpected perturbations.
Funding and Awards:
- CIHR Postdoctoral Fellowship (2020-2023)
- BrainsCAN Postdoctoral Fellowship (2018-2023)
Teaches courses in motor learning and neurobiology while mentoring undergraduate researchers through SDSU's Summer Undergraduate Research Program.
