Sarvesh Logsetty, MD, FRCS(C), FACS is a Professor in the Department of Surgery at the Max Rady College of Medicine, University of Manitoba. He serves as Director of the Manitoba Firefighters Burn Unit and holds cross-appointments in Psychiatry and Pediatrics. His research focuses on acute and long-term care for burn and trauma patients, spanning epidemiology, antimicrobial dressings, critical care, and social determinants of health.
- Research Affiliations: Children’s Hospital Research Institute of Manitoba, Manitoba Centre for Health Policy, Manitoba Population Mental Health Research Group, Skin Investigation Network of Canada.
- Leadership Roles: Chair of Canadian Burn Network, Founding Member of Canadian Burn Association, Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) instructor.
His work has secured national grants (CIHR, Collaborative Health Research Projects) and resulted in two patents. Dr. Logsetty’s contributions to trauma care include revising the burn chapter for the 10th edition of ATLS, shaping global burn care protocols.
