About
Sarit Dhar is the Andrew T. Hunt Endowed Professor of Physics at Auburn University, leading experimental research in condensed matter physics with a focus on semiconductor materials. Affiliated with the Department of Physics and the university's 2 MeV ion accelerator laboratory, their work integrates device fabrication, thin film analysis, and radiation studies. They hold a Ph.D. from Vanderbilt University (2005) and prior degrees from Indian Institute of Technology (M.S. 2000, B.S. 1998).
- Research: Investigates SiC/SiO₂ interfaces, β-Ga₂O₃ dielectrics, and radiation effects in semiconductor devices
- Tools: Hall analysis, SEM/TEM microscopy, ion implantation, CVD deposition
Teaching includes the Emory-Tibet Science Initiative (2017-2018), training Tibetan monks in physics. Honors include APS 5 Sigma Physicist Award (2019) and Walter Associate Professorship (2017-2020).
- Professional Activities: NSF/DoE reviewer, IEEE conference organizer, and journal peer reviewer
